Reflector
Flashlight reflectors generally come in two types: smooth reflectors and orange-peel reflectors.
Smooth Reflector (Long Range)
Smooth reflectors produce a higher-intensity hotspot with excellent beam focus, allowing the flashlight to produce light over longer distances. However, the hotspot is much brighter than the surrounding spill, creating a sharper contrast. This type is ideal for long-range applications such as search and hunting.
Orange-Peel Reflector (Even illumination)
With an orange-peel textured surface, this reflector scatters light for a smoother and more uniform beam. The spill is brighter and transitions more smoothly compared to smooth reflectors, though the beam distance is shorter. It is better suited for hiking, maintenance, and other close- to mid-range lighting needs.
Leveraging years of optical design expertise, NITECORE has developed high-efficiency metal reflectors specially designed for its flashlights. These reflectors deliver a soft and uniform beam while balancing both long-distance throw and close-range illumination. They are also paired with optical lenses featuring double-sided scratch resistant coating for enhanced protection.
