New NITECORE Athlete - Tom Evans
On April 22, 2026, NITECORE is proud to announce that British trail runner Tom Evans has officially joined the NITECORE as a trail running athlete!

Started with a Bet: The Rise of a Trail Running Talent
Tom's trail running journey began with a bet among friends. Before 2017, the longest distance he had ever run was a 5km run in the park organized by the local community. Accepting the challenge to tackle the Marathon Des Sables, he surprisingly finished third on his first attempt and also marked a new record for European athletes in the race's history. This unexpected success revealed a potential he hadn't even realized, marking the rise of a new star in the world of trail running.
Breaking Barriers: From Army Captain to All-round Runner
Eight years of military service provided him with an unparalleled training foundation, the ability to maintain self-control under extreme pressure, and exceptional composure and strategic vision. These qualities allowed him to evolve quickly from a naturally gifted enthusiast into an unstoppable professional champion. The year after the Marathon Des Sables, he won the UTMB CCC category. Shortly afterward, in his first 100-mile race, he achieved an impressive third place at the Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run.
From the barracks to the mountains, from UTMB to the New Zealand Ultra Marathon World Tour, and even pursuing Olympic marathon qualification, he excels across trail, ultra-marathon, and road races - an all-round runner who defies definition.
Rising Through Adversity
After suffering dual setbacks of withdrawing from the race due to injury and encountering an accident during training in 2023, Tom openly shared his vulnerabilities, and quickly returned to races, demonstrating remarkable resilience. Relying on his inner strength, he tackles every challenge as if navigating an unpredictable trail.
From a chance encounter with the sport to staying true to himself, Tom finally claimed the UTMB men's title with a steady pace and exceptional downhill skills, finishing nearly half an hour ahead of the runner-up. It stands as one of the finest victories of his career and made him the first British male athlete to win the race in its history.
Keep Innovating, Keep Pushing the Limits
Every finish line marks the beginning of a new journey. Each breakthrough Tom achieves on the course reflects NITECORE's relentless pursuit of innovation in professional gear. As a steadfast supporter on his path forward, NITECORE will stand beside Tom with every beam of stable, reliable light – empowering him to push beyond his limits in the races and explore endless possibilities on the long road ahead.
